What’s Next As We Transition Into Our Next Chapter

In June we shared that Bright Pink would be making a strategic shift in its work – and that we would seek a new home for our suite of life-saving breast and ovarian health digital tools and programmatic assets.

After a comprehensive national search, we are proud to have selected an extraordinary new partner to acquire, steward, and expand the impact of Bright Pink’s tools and assets. We are excited to share more soon through our social channels – and hope you will follow us there in anticipation of an announcement.

We are also thrilled to announce that Bright Pink is in the process of developing grant-making strategies in preparation for re-launch as a non-profit venture philanthropy fund. We will be investing financial and capacity building resources in mission partners whose work promises to fulfill a bold vision – to transform the breast and ovarian health landscape for young women.

Our emphasis is on women at high or increased risk, especially women with additional barriers to care due to systemic and institutionalized racism, historical marginalization, and/or sustained community disinvestment. With Bright Pink as a partner, we hope grantees will be able to accelerate, deepen, and expand life-saving impact.

Backed by 15 years of thought leadership and experience – and guided by Bright Pink Founder Lindsay Avner, our Board of Directors, and a team of strategic advisors – our approach will be marked by a rigorous grantee vetting process and a focus on cutting edge and imaginative efforts with a strong hypothesis or evidence base for impact. We will maintain our 501(c)3 tax-exempt status and all contributions from our donors and sponsors will continue to be tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. We will leverage a very lean operating model, allowing all donations received to directly support high-impact grants*. We plan to begin grant-making in 2022.

Thank you for your support, enthusiasm, and passion for our shared mission of supporting women to be proactive advocates for their breast and ovarian health. We look forward to staying in touch with you through our social channels, new website (launching next month) and periodic email updates.
